Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” 1 Pet. 1:3

Over the last weeks as I reflected on Easter I asked myself how we would even begin to celebrate Easter at such time of adversity. I mean we are living in troubled times with so much fear, confusion, uncertainties and panic.

However as I thought more on it I realized that more than ever before, this is the time to be glad and rejoice for the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross of Calvary  and His subsequent resurrection.

So today I believe that post resurrection, God has a message for us, he wants to give us comfort like he did to those worried disciples years ago, he wants us to be reminded of certain truths.

He wants us to be reminded of is His Peace
He wants us to be reminded that we have Hope. Hope today, hope tomorrow and hope for ever.
He wants us to be reminded of His of forgiveness and restoration.
He wants us to be reminded that because of Jesus resurrection we have got the Victory. Victory over sin, over death
He wants us to be reminded that we are empowered.

The acknowledgement of the effect of resurrection should also change our ways; it should not only change our mindsets but also BE a reality that should change our conduct.

 So let’s respond by
  • Rejoicing and relaxing in God (Philippians 4:4-7)
  • Reviewing and Refocusing our lives   (Lamentations 3:40)
  • And finally…Remaining or abiding and Reigning in God (John 6:60-66)

Lord, we thank You for the power of resurrection, thank you for the peace, the hope, the victory, your forgiveness and restoration and for empowering us. Thank You for the strength to get through whatever comes our way. In Jesus name. Amen.
